Captain America: Civil War - 10 Biggest Moments Of Foreshadowing

4. Ultron's Arrival & The Subsequent Lab Scene (Avengers: Age Of Ultron)

A sequence that foreshadowed Captain America: Civil War in a couple of ways was the one in which Ultron first appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron and the following scene in the Avengers Tower laboratory. Ultron's emergence was the first time Tony Stark was genuinely made to feel guilty about the consequences of his actions. He knew his creation was out in the world and was out to cause devastation. It was at this point that he must have first thought that he needed to be controlled - and, therefore, it was the trigger for him getting behind the idea of the accords. Then, immediately after, he had everyone on his team gunning for him. Not only would this have further emphasised his acceptance of the need for control, it was also another foreshadowing of the upcoming in-fighting that will occur amongst the ranks of the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War.
