Captain America: Civil War - 10 Major Reveals From The New Images
4. Baron Zemo May Not Be Baron Zemo
Daniel Brühl may have confirmed that he's playing Baron Zemo in Captain America: Civil War, but Entertainment Weekly's story throws everything we thought we knew about this villain completely out of the window! While it's already been said that this version of the iconic Captain America villain isn't going to be donning that purple mask of his, theories that he's some sort of new version of the Red Skull look set to once again gain some traction thanks to the magazine pointing out that while he goes by the name "Baron Zemo", that's actually just one of many monikers he uses in this movie. Wait, what? Kevin Feige wouldn't elaborate any further than that, though he did say: " character is very much a product of the Cinematic Universe and all that has occurred within that universe up to this point." There's clearly some history there then, and it would make a lot of sense for Zemo to have some sort of ties to the Skull. Hell, maybe the whole Baron Zemo thing is misdirection to hide the fact that Brühl will be sporting a red face! With no sign of the villain in the trailer, that's unfortunately something which remains to be seen. Of course, a character who is just as mysterious is the one being played by Martin Freeman. Feige refused to reveal his name too, but did at least promise that big things are on the way for him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "Hes under the cloak of secrecy. There are a lot of amazing actors in this movie. Some of them play larger roles than others. And in some cases there are some you will meet ever so briefly in this film and then will be expanded upon in future films. He falls into that latter category."
