9. ...But It'll Be The Vision Who Shoots Rhodey
The tricksy editing of the trailer wants you to think that its Bucky that pulls the trigger and sends Don Cheadles Rhodey/ War Machine plummeting to the ground without the help of his flying suit, but, when you look a little closer, it's pretty obvious that he doesn't. For one, the shot of Bucky shooting a riffle seems to come from a corridor scene, not the airport battle. And secondly, the yellow glow emitting from the blast that takes down Rhodey is more reminiscent of The Vision's powers than anyone else from the MCU. Certainly, this yellowy visual effect is unlike anything that's been associated with Bucky before. This adds credence to the theory that The Vision will turn against Tony and his allies at some point in the movie, possibly because he harbours his own distrust for the government based on his immense intelligence. if this is the case, then shooting Rhodey out of the sky would be the ultimate betrayal from Tony's android creation. And it doesn't seem likely that Tony could ever forgive The Vision for endangering/possibly ending the life of his best bud, does it?
