8. We Get A New Captain America
Chris Evans Marvel contract has been a bone of much contention for a while now, with the Captain America star recently saying that quotes attributed to him regarding his future have been exaggerated. The 34-year-old had previously claimed that he intended to give up acting all together when his Marvel deal ran out, hoping to move to the other side of the camera and concentrate on directing. Evans has done a little bit of backtracking since then, admitting that he would actually be happy to carry on playing Steve Rogers for a little while longer, though the fact that Bucky Barnes actor Sebastian Stan has signed a nine-picture deal with Marvel means that he is set to outlive Evans in the MCU, and eventually take over as Captain America. In the Civil War comic, Steve Rogers leaves Tony Stark a letter before he is killed, asking him to look after Bucky and to make sure that Captain America lives on. Bucky agrees to take up the mantle in honour of his friend, as long as Stark is able to guarantee him complete autonomy. Despite it being against the law (and everything he had fought for during the conflict) Stark agrees to Buckys demands, and Barnes goes on to become the new Captain America and eventually develops a relationship with Black Widow, which could tie-in nicely with that Widow solo movie we are all hoping for at some stage. Of course, Bucky Barnes isnt the only man to wield the shield after Rogers in the Marvel Universe. When Bucky is put on trial for crimes he committed as the Winter Soldier the responsibility ends up falling to Sam Wilson, though it may be a little too soon for him to take on the role of Cap in the MCU. Nevertheless, Falcon actor Anthony Mackie has fuelled speculation that we will see a new Captain America at some stage:

Then Bucky goes off and marries Black Widow, so I keep the shield. And now I got the shield, Im not giving it back!
