Captain America: Civil War - 13 Big Questions From Super Bowl Spot

2. Why Is Black Panther On #TeamIronMan?

The make-up of the teams makes some sort of sense, for the most part. Some are completely obvious: Rhodey is Tony's best friend, Vision used to be his butler; Bucky and Falcon are Cap's two besties. A couple of the others are tied in with what we've seen previously: Scarlet Witch was part of the Avengers at the end of Age Of Ultron, under Cap's leadership; Ant-Man is brought into the fold by Falcon. Black Widow and Hawkeye's alleigances are less obvious, so assumptions can be made about Widow not wanting to cause any more destruction with heroes fighting villains (or she's a double agent), and Hawkeye wants to remain more secretive for the sake of his family. The big question mark, then, is Black Panther. He looks really f*cking cool, but apart from that we don't know much about him. He's brand new to the MCU in this film, and while there may be rumours about his role to play in Civil War, his motivations and true allegiances are a complete mystery. So why has he decided to stand alongside the rest of Team Iron Man?
