Captain America: Civil War – 13 Biggest Rumours You Need To Know (Jan 13th)

5. Hyperion And Captain Marvel Have Some Part To Play

Curiously, the LEGO tie-in sets for Civil War include an improbable space battle that sees Cap and Iron Man in space and intriguingly the presence of Captain Marvel and Marvel villain (and sometime hero Hyperion). Captain Marvel has long been rumoured for a cameo before her film arrives, but Hyperion is an entirely different prospect, particularly since he's pictured in the LEGO set fighting Iron Man - and is thus obviously a villain. So could he be one of the other super soldiers created by HYDRA before they were destroyed? Rating: 5/10 An appearance by Captain Marvel wouldn't be all that surprising - or at least one by Carol Danvers wouldn't be - but the Hyperion question is less easy to answer. He's an entirely out of left-field character to just randomly drop into a LEGO set tied to Civil War, which perversely adds relevance. There would be no reason for LEGO to pick out a character like that unless there was an official licensing reason. It's just difficult to fathom how an entirely new villain would fit in to an already busy cast. The IMDB cast-list does mention other Super Soldiers, but there's no suggestion of Hyperion specifically. Maybe it'll turn out Martin Freeman's casting is entirely misleading and he's actually going to play a new version of the character? Stranger things have happened.
