Captain America: Civil War - 5 Minor Characters Who Will Become Really Important

4. Sharon Carter/Agent 13

Sharon Carter is, of course, the Cap€™s enduring on-off love interest as well as being his secret personal bodyguard. Introducing herself with a pointedly cheery €œHi, neighbour!€, it was fairly obvious throughout The Winter Soldier that despite her role being limited to standing around looking a bit worried, she was someone who was being introduced with a view to a meatier role in the future. The basic set-up of Civil War will revolve around a schism between the Avengers over whether they ought to answer to the government for their actions and operations, and according to some concept art which Jeremy Renner shared on Twitter, Sharon Carter will be alongside Captain America as a part of the team who fly in the face of government controls. The lingering focus on her extraordinary marksmanship skills at the end of The Winter Soldier also nods toward her potential status as the unwitting assassin of Captain America himself. In the Civil War: Epilogue comic, Crossbones hypnotises her into killing Cap. Now, we don't know for certain if that's the way that Steve Rogers' arc is headed, but there's certainly a chance that she'll start becoming more and more prominent during Civil War before maybe - maybe - bumping Cap off at some point in either part of Infinity War.
