Captain America: Civil War - 5 Minor Characters Who Will Become Really Important

2. Laura Barton And The Little Bartons

Introduced in Age Of Ultron, Laura is Hawkeye's wife and, judging by her single appearance so far, she's always been very supportive of Hawkeye's habit of gallivanting off to save the world and flaunt his toxophilitic skills. She tells him she €œcouldn€™t be prouder€ of him, and is a generally calming influence on everyone around her. She€™s a good egg. However, that calming influence could well turn into a 'please for the love of God stop endangering yourself constantly you idiot' kind of influence. He's the only full-time Avenger who's got children to think of, after all, though now Ant-Man's in the frame they might think about working out a babysitting rota. Given how cool Laura€™s been about his hanging out with a billionaire rocket man, a former Soviet spy, a fifteen-foot monster, a Norse god, a time-travelling personifcation of the United States and Samuel L. Jackson up this point you€™d have to assume she€™s not going to nag at him to stop, but she might well be a factor in an imminent retirement from Avenging. A freelance lifestyle might suit him better, and set him up for a long-overdue Hawkeye solo film. Hopefully the kids don€™t come into it too much though. I€™m still getting over Jim Gordon Jr€™s narrowly-averted death at the climax of The Dark Knight and I€™m ready for another child-based emotional clinch point yet.
