Captain America: Civil War - 5 Things Learned From D23 Footage

3. Black Widow And Hawkeye Aren't Buds Any Longer

We know that superhero on superhero warfare will play a big part in up coming Marvel outings, but apart from a few verbal asides between Stark and Cap, the D23 footage generally avoided translating that into action. The exception is a brief altercation between Black Widow and Hawkeye. The two shore up for a scrap, with Black Widow asking if they're still friends. Hawkeye quips in response, "Depends how hard you hit me". It's probably far from the movie's most heated exchange, but there's no denying a Black Widow/Hawkeye rivalry could yield some high octane drama. Ever since The Avengers back in 2012, the two have shared a genuinely meaningful relationship, keeping each other grounded and safe. In fact, they're really the only two Avengers to share anything approximating a deep and lengthy history, so their fall-out could have a unique effect on their individual mental states. Might one of them be responsible for the others demise? The footage definitely didn't suggest that, but it's worth considering. They certainly won't be lining up on the same side anyway.
