What Happens? Clint Barton was originally planned to appear in the film a lot earlier, serving as security for Bucky's transportation in Berlin. In the truck he would actually empathise with Bucky, recounting the time in The Avengers he was a "zombie" and appealing to the man behind the super soldier eyes.

What Does It Add? Hawkeye was an impressive addition to Civil War; Joss Whedon tried so hard to make him interesting in Age Of Ultron, but the Russos did much more with considerably less screentime, making him the wise-cracking family man.
