Captain America: Civil War - 8 Characters Who Will Be Totally Different
8. Sharon Carter
For starters, Sharon Carter has had a rather measly role in the MCU so far, featuring more as a wink and a nod to comic-book fans in 2014s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with a promise of more interesting things to come. And come they shall: in Civil Wars thus-released concept art, Carter features as a prominent member of Team Captain America, teasing a more expanded and central role in the upcoming flick. Its likely that Agent 13 will take a level in bad-!ss in this instalment, a welcome contrast from the previous one in which she spent most of her time undercover as the bland nurse neighbour of Captain America. Based on what we know so far, Carter is unsurprisingly on the side of Steve Rogers, as the romantic tension barely hinted at in the second Captain America instalment will most likely come to a head in Civil War, since Carter and Rogers have been prominently featured as lovers in the source material. While it seems in the MCU that Steve hasnt quite gotten over aunt Peggy, it will be a departure from what we've seen of Sharons role in the Captains life so far. It will be interesting to see how central a role Agent 13 will play in Civil War, especially seeing as the Civil War comic book arc concluded with the death of Captain America, which turned out to be an orchestration of Red Skull using Carter as a pawn. While this is unlikely to be adapted exactly as it is (Chris Evans contract sort of leaves that kind of speculation dead in the water), theres definitely much more to Agent 13 than what we saw of her in past films.
