Captain America: Civil War Plot - 12 Hints Kevin Feige Has Already Given

4. There Won€™t Be A Really Dark Turn

If you're still in the camp of fans expecting to see the MCU in tatters and a wave of depression washing over everyone at the climax of Civil War, then it's probably time to adjust your expectations. Feige told the Age Of Ultron Q&A audience that there wasn't going to be a massive dark turn in the MCU.
"He says every year fans come up to him and ask him if this movie is when the MCU goes "dark" or takes a "dark" turn. He said while the trailers may seem ominous or have a sense of impending doom, the movies do not have that feel, and will not. He said he "Hoped people would catch on by now" - there will be no giant dark turns in the MCU where it then continues to head in that direction. The humor is in the DNA of the movies, there are no plans to change that."
Obviously that doesn't rule out the possibility of dark events happening, it just means that even when they do (probably including deaths), there won't be an agenda to drop the humour and concentrate on a more morbid tone. Which is all good news (particularly when you've got the possibility of Ant-Man AND the Guardians intersecting with the Avengers in the near future).
