Captain America Civil War: Predicting The Entire Plot In 10 Steps

6. Cap The Outlaw, Leading To Gritty Fight Scene

Cap is now an outlaw. He€™s fought American soldiers and perverted the course of what the government sees to be justice, all in order to save Bucky from being killed. Cap and Falcon will turn themselves in at this stage, resulting in the scene glimpsed in the trailers where Cap€™s shield and Falcon€™s tech are taken away from them. Martin Freeman€™s Everett Ross (allegedly no relation to Thaddeus Ross) could make a big impression at this point. He€™s the head of the €˜Joint Counter Terrorist Centre€™, and is bound to be displeased that these so-called heroes have helped Bucky €“ whom the authorities believe to be some sort of terrorist/assassin hybrid €“ evade capture. Cap and Falcon will accept their punishment, and be locked up, leaving their remaining allies to break them out. Ant-Man has form in escaping from prison cells, while Emily VanCamp€™s Sharon Carter and Jeremy Renner€™s Hawkeye (both of whom are believed to be on Cap€™s side in the conflict) could help provide insider information to assist the prison break. Cap meets up with Bucky, but Tony Stark follows. Fully suited up as Iron Man, he€™ll confront Steve (€œYou seem a little defensive€/€Well, it€™s been a long day€) before partaking in that brutal gritty fight from the trailers. Bucky and Steve will share the shield (foreshadowing once again that Bucky could one day take up the Captain America mantle), and beat the crap out of Tony. €œHe€™s my friend€, Steve will say. €œSo was I€, Tony will retort. And everyone in the audience will burst into tears€ possibly.
