Captain America: Civil War - Ranking The Characters By Anticipation
5. Iron Man
Last Seen: Leaving the New York-based Avengers facility for some time away at the end of Age of Ultron. None of the major film characters have changed as heavily as Tony Stark over the course of the MCU. He's evolved from ignorant billionaire to costumed hero, gone from lone wolf to team player, and even had his entire worldview shaken forever by his brief trip into space, but the biggest question going into Civil War about where he's going next will be exactly why the snarky, anti-government hero is suddenly for government influence and regulation. In many ways, Stark is being positioned as an antagonist, which is a bold move on Marvel's part, as they're taking their biggest actor draw and allowing audiences to question him and even root against him for once. Cap and Stark will undoubtedly both make convincing arguments that split fans just like the characters, but even in a film where the former is the focus, seeing the original poster boy for the MCU take part in dividing it is part of the film's most interesting aspects.
