One of the best-kept secrets about the casting in Civil War so far has been the identity of Martin Freeman's character. Despite his casting having been officially announced last May, fans have barely learned anything more about his character beyond the fact he's a government agent and that he'll be reprising it in several further films. Since the announcement, speculation has run rampant about the character, with rumors pegging him as various characters ranging from the Avengers-wrangling Henry Gyrich to TChallas trusted ally and friend Everett Ross. Whoever Freeman ends up actually turning out to be, the mystery behind his role coupled with his strengths as an actor have already made him a welcome addition to the MCU.
