Captain America: Civil War - Ranking The Characters By Anticipation

14. Sharon Carter

Last Seen: Training at the CIA's shooting range in the wake of SHIELD's downfall in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Though "in the know" fans are well aware of Agent 13's identity, her name and connection to Peggy Carter wasn't explicitly stated in the Captain America sequel, meaning many unaware audience members are still in for a pleasant surprise reveal about her character when they sit down to watch Civil War for the first time. Despite having a decent amount of facetime the first go-round, her presence in the film was chiefly all set-up for a larger future in the MCU, one whose next step is finally being taken. Ideally, Sharon can step up to the plate in replacing Peggy as Steve's modern-day love interest, showcasing that she's just as worthy of fighting alongside the others while giving the team leader someone to connect to as more than just a friend. Civil War has a lot of ground to cover, but if she's going to be sticking around, some time needs to be set aside in making audiences care about her in her own right before asking them to suddenly invest in any relationship she may be forming with Cap.
