Captain America: New World Order - 10 Supervillains Who Could Appear

7. Doctor Faustus

Johann Fenhoff spent decades studying every aspect of the human psyche, allowing him to become the world's greatest hypnotherapist, Doctor Faustus. Using subtle but precise suggestibility techniques, the insidious psychiatrist can convince his victims to do anything he desires, no matter how strong-willed they are. Despite bearing no superpowers, Faustus can encourage his victims to go irreparably insane, kill on his behalf, or take their own life. He can also turn people into sleeper agents, meaning they aren't even aware they're working for him.

Sadly, no one knows how dangerous Faustus is more than Steve Rogers or his friends. In the seven-part series, Civil War, Faustus hypnotised Rogers' partner, Sharon Carter, compelling her to shoot her beloved in the heart, killing him. (Don't worry. He got better.)

Considering Doctor Faustus is the person who caused the death of Steve Rogers in the comics, it’s crazy he hasn't appeared yet in a MCU. Although a character inspired by him appeared in Agent Carter, he wasn't referred to as Johann Fenhoff or Doctor Faustus, so it wouldn't mess up the continuity to incorporate this supervillain into a MCU film in the future.
