4. The Winter Soldier Is Considered A Myth

Right at the beginning of the trailer, Black Widow is discussing the Winter Soldier and she describes him as follows: "Most of the intelligence community doesn't believe he exists. The ones who do call him the Winter Soldier. He's a ghost. You'll never find him." This gives him an eerie and almost supernatural quality, which isn't far from the truth given that he was thought to have died seventy years ago. It epitomises the psychological and emotional exploitation that Captain America's former friend, Bucky Barnes, could utilise to best him in battle. The shock of seeing his friend alive, the horror of seeing the brainwashed cyborg that he has become and the conflicted feelings that will no doubt be aroused by having to fight him - all of which, combined with the fact that he has that eerie supernatural thing going on - will make him a very difficult foe for Cap to face.
