Captain Marvel: 9 MCU Characters Who Could Appear
6. Everett Ross
After making his MCU debut in Civil War, Everett Ross got the chance to take a little more of the spotlight in this year's Black Panther, where his character was fleshed out and developed a friendship with T'Challa. And, of course, he joined in the fight against Killmonger, revealing his status as a former Air Force pilot and using his skills to help take down a number of the ships taking Wakandan weapons out into the world.
If we're to assume Ross is around the same age as his actor, Martin Freeman, which would be 46, Ross would have likely been in his 20s during the events of Captain Marvel, similar to what Carol Danvers herself would be. Of course, Ross went on to join the CIA, but he had to put a decent chunk of time in as a pilot first, and certainly more than a few fans' ears pricked up when he mentioned having been in the Air Force during Black Panther.
Even if it's just a cameo, a young Ross appearing as one of Carol's fellow pilots early on in the film before things potentially leave Earth and start going cosmic just feels like it'd make sense, a fun, non-distracting connection that would fit established canon and give one of the MCU's more recent introductions a neat place in the franchise's history.
