A legacy that's unlikely to be seen on screen. Especially if you believe the rumours that Captain Marvel will make her on-screen debut during the end credits sequence of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and ain't nobody got time for all that. Which shouldn't be a problem, because Carol Danvers has one of the most complex, interesting, and frequently dark back stories in the Marvel Universe. You think those barely-hinted-at alcohol problems of Tony Stark are bad? You ain't seen nothing yet. There's one particularly egregious storyline which should never ever ever wind up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (involving her being abducted and forcibly impregnated by her time travelling son, with the Avengers standing by and letting it happen), but there's still plenty that makes Ms Danvers one of the more engaging personalities in comics: she's lost her powers, regained them, been transformed into an alien villain, recovered from alcoholism herself, and she's an ace pilot to boot.
