6. The Mysterious Skrull

As soon as the first trailer for Captain Marvel came out, it became immediately obvious that Marvel Studios were leaning heavily on the sequence featuring Captain Marvel fighting a sweet old lady. Without context, that first trailer seemed to suggest that she was just punching old ladies for fun, but then the second one and the revelation of more details on the Skrull invasion of Earth added a much more sinister tone to the old lady.

Playing on her impact in the marketing campaign and the whole idea of the Skrulls being embedded everywhere, a hilariously badly cut out JPEG of the old lady pops up intermittently around the borders of the site as you're browsing.

It's silly but it's a great little reminder of what this story is all about: punching the elderly.
