Casting A Live Action Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood Movie

To play the role of Major General Olivier Mira Armstrong, the unflinching commander of Fort Briggs, you've got to have the sort of actress that is not only great when it comes to action, but commands the room whenever she walks into it. While there are plenty of actresses in Hollywood who have that sort of screen prescence, it's difficult to imagine anyone else playing this role other than Charlize Theron.

Although her performances in films like Atomic Blonde and Aeon Flux prove that she's more than capable when it comes to action related films, it's her performance as Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road that solidified our belief that she could be the only person to play the leader of the Briggs soldiers.

Much like Armstrong, the character of Furiosa is a determined and extremely dangerous individual, so a similar approach would work well here. She's just got to be cold as ice with everyone around her and that's not going to be a stretch for an actress as talented as Theron.
