Chris Pratt: 10 Roles That Passed You By

4. Zero Dark Thirty

Hardly the first actor to go from laugh out loud comedy to serious drama, it's still hard to find a career that goes from mid-level rom-com to hunting Osama Bin Laden. A film bigger than any name could be, Zero Dark Thirty saw Chris Pratt join the likes of James Galdolfini, Mark Strong, and even John Barrowman who each played their part in the biggest man hunt in U.S. history. Pratt comes in at the end of the chain, starring as one of the Navy Seals in charge of that fateful mission to a house in Pakistan. Although only appearing late in the film, and mostly in a sequence in which it is difficult to tell which who is who under all the darkness and camouflage, he does still make his presence felt. When first told of the mission it is Pratt's Justin who expresses his concerns, but is also seen relaxing and joking while waiting for it to start. Far from the Animal Mother type seen in many war films, it is understandable why he would put so much effort into losing weight and packing on the muscle, despite his relatively small screen-time. In true Chris Pratt style however, it wouldn't be long before the muscle was gone again.
