Cementing his place in the hearts of fantasy fans, Christopher Lee provided the heart-chilling, sonorous voice for Death, the Grim Reaper himself, in several adaptations of the hugely popular Discworld books by the late Terry Pratchett.

Lee voiced Death in no less than three animated Discworld outings and a live-action version of The Colour of Magic. For many, Christopher Lee was the definitive Death.

It wasn't only Lee's perfect comedic timing that made him a natural for the part, but also his deep, resonant, and inimitable voice. Several new Discworld features are in various stages of production but, sad to say, never again will Death sound quite as sepulchral.
