Christopher Walken: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

1. A View To A Kill - Max Zorin

aview A View to a Kill may be one of the weaker entries in the James Bond series, but it did have a lot going for it: Duran Duran's title track, Grace Jones as an androgynous henchwoman and most importantly a camped up performance from Christopher Walken. Walken stars as Max Zorin a leading businessman who plans to flood Silicon Valley as a a means of washing out his competition. The character has all the trapping of a great Bond villain: he is charming yet psychotic, has a mysterious past (Zorin was the product of Nazi experimentation on pregnant women) and has an imposing sidekick. The actor, at his most manic, particularly shining in sequences where he floods a mine filled with his own men or fights Bond atop the Golden Gate Bridge. Zorin is an old-school take no prisoners Bond villain with a chilling charisma that only Christopher Walken could bring.
