Colin Firth joins DORIAN GRAY

Adaptation of the classic Gotham horror starring Ben Barnes.

Forever destined to be a picture that will only get very small coverage in the trades, you can trust Obsessed With Film to support any re-telling of classic works of Gotham literature. It's been reported that British actor Colin Firth who I'm afraid has hored himself out recently to easy paycheck from both Mamma Mia and St. Trinian's, has actually landed a role in a project to get excited about He has joined the cast of Dorian Gray, where he will play Lord Henry Wotton, an aristrocrat who corrupts Gray with his views on the world.

Gray - the most narcissistic figure in Gothic literature, is played by the handsome Ben Barnes from The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. I'm sure you all know the tale of Gray, he becomes obsessed with his looks and his youthful lifestyle but as a punishment his painting ages but he stays the same. You might not think that was a punishment... but when you see what happens, it really is! Filming began earlier this week. Shame they knocked "The Picture of" from the title. Oliver Parker (St. Trinian's, The Importance of Being Earnest) directs.
