Comic Con 2014: 10 Biggest Rumours‏

4. Details On Worlds End And Multiversity

DC ComicsDC ComicsSo that's the TV schedules wrapped up for DC, but how about back in their home turf of, well, actual funnybooks? That could very well be decided by their next crossovers, following Futures End, which followed Forever Evil, which followed blahblahblah. The important thing is that the publisher has two huge new company-wide events taking place later in the year, and besides the bare bones solicitations that have started to drip through, we're really don't know a whole lot about them, In the case of World's End, the reason for their keeping schtum probably has a lot to do with the fact that it will be carrying on directly from Futures End (the lack of apostrophe consistency confuses us too), and they don't want to spoil anything from that whilst it's still ongoing. In September every title that DC publishes will tie into the current storyline, hinting at the dark future which awaits the universe of the New 52; World's End, which will also be a weekly book, will pick up where it leaves off. Other than that, the creative team and the alternate universe setting, we know next to nothing about World's End. Take our word for it when we say all will be revealed in the last weekend of July. Also to be clarified upon is just what the heck is going on in The Multiversity. Due to begin in August - a good couple of months before World's End - we don't know much about this series either, besides it being writer Grant Morrison's return to DC after a brief sojourn away from the publisher. It's a limited series with different artists on each issue, and it takes place across alternate universes, and that's all that we've been told, really. So hopefully they'll tell us more in that sweaty, sweaty exhibition centre. Likelihood: High. These are the big books in DC's immediate future, and they'll be eager to spill the beans and get fans excited (and pre-ordering).
