Comic Con 2018: 10 Things We Wanted Announced (But Weren't)
2. Avengers 4
Though Marvel Studios had confirmed that their film branch would not be having a presence at Comic-Con this year, there was still hope that a surprise announcement was coming.
Considering that last year at Comic-Con, Marvel debuted an in-house first look at Infinity War footage to gargantuan buzz and acclaim, it would not have been out of character for them to one-up themselves this year. By debuting a first look at Avengers 4 in even the smallest of ways as a surprise, they would have instantly sent the hype and buzz for the film shooting through the roof once again.
Hell, even the Russos coming out on stage during the Marvel television panel and simply announcing the title of Avengers 4 would have been the biggest moment of Comic-Con this year.
Sadly, all we got was a trailer for Iron Fist Season 2, a giant Lego Thanos, and a grief counseling booth for fans still mourning the loss of half the universe. The wait for any and all Avengers 4 information is becoming agonizing, which is exactly what Marvel wants, but an announcement of some sort at Comic-Con would have been much appreciated.
