Comic Con 2019: 10 Biggest Rumours
3. DC Are Going To Have A Massive Presence
It may not seem it these days, but Comic Con is still about comics - hence why it's a tad peculiar seeing loads of outlets leading with "DC aren't going to be at SDCC 2019..." even when they are. In fact, the publisher are due to have a huge presence at the convention, and for those who pay close attention to the goings on of their comics, the coming weekend could prove to be a pivotal one for the Distinguished Competition.
The announcements have already been coming in thick and fast, with Year of the Villain set to dominate proceedings as we approach October. Black Label will get two new additions later this year courtesy of Jeff Lemire with Joker: Killer Smile and The Question: The Many Deaths of Vic Sage, while Brian Bendis is set to helm a reboot of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
Even John Carpenter is getting on the act, with a brand new Joker comic coming this October as a part of Year of the Villain.
Fans can bank on more announcements to come as the weekend approaches, and perhaps even a few surprises too. Last year we knew that Grant Morrison was going to helm a Green Lantern comic before the convention even came around, but no such rumours have been forthcoming this time around.
Either way, here's hoping that the inevitable announcements can match last year's!
