3. The Last Witch Hunter 2
The Last Witch Hunter was a basically terrible fantasy action flick starring Vin Diesel that quietly sloughed its way into cinemas in 2015, flopped horribly, and was basically forgotten in record time.
Diesel talked up plans for a sequel even before the first film's release, and though word went quiet on this in subsequent years, in 2020 Diesel piped back up to affirm that The Last Witch Hunter 2 was apparently still on the cards.
Considering the many unrealised franchise projects Diesel has stewing at any one time, though, it was easy to take his claim with a truckload of salt.
We heard nothing about the sequel for about another five years, then, until last September Lionsgate announced that The Last Witch Hunter 2 was indeed a go.
And because that wasn't enough, it was also confirmed that the great Michael Caine - a good friend of Diesel's who played a supporting role in the first film - would be coming out of retirement to reprise his role at age 93.
What a weird world we live in.
