Confirmed - There's Going To Be A New Indiana Jones Movie
Lucasfilm reveal it's not just Star Wars they're bringing back.
The famous fedora and whip will be dusted off once more, as Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed plans for another Indiana Jones movie. While rumours have circulated ever since Disney bought the company, and with it the rights to the Indy franchise, this is the first time it has been 100% confirmed. Taking a break from talking about Star Wars to Vanity Fair for their special issue, Kennedy dropped the news about a new outing for Dr Jones. She said: " will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, Im not quite sure. We havent started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it. It's clearly still a fair way off yet, but it is definitely going to happen. The news comes as no real surprise, as after Star Wars it was the most profitable asset Lucasfilm has (sorry, Willow), and, like Star Wars, there may be a feeling they need to rectify a few things after the previous outing. So basically, no Shia LaBeouf, no George Lucas, and no refrigerators. Chris Pratt, Star-Lord of the box-office and man who can seemingly do no wrong at the minute, has been hotly rumoured to take over the lead role in the franchise. Of course, as we've seen from The Force Awakens teaser, there's plenty of life in Harrison Ford yet - don't discount him making a return to a different home.
