20 Most Divisive Movie Scenes Ever

15. Vampire Baseball - Twilight

Twilight
Summit Entertainment

Love Twilight or hate it, none of us will ever forget the utterly outrageous baseball scene from the original film, where the Cullen family heads out with Bella (Kristen Stewart) in the middle of a thunderstorm to play some ball.

Because of the Cullens' vampiric super-strength, a storm is the only time they can play ball without attracting all the wrong kinds of attention.

Now, there are those who absolutely love it - the distinctively wacky camera work, the inspired use of Muse's anthemic "Supermassive Black Hole," and director Catherine Hardwicke's willingness to fully embrace the absurdity of it all.

But not everyone feels that way - to some the whole sequence is just too goofy for its own good, the bonkers camera choices, dated VFX, and iffy slow-motion feeling like anything but the product of a big-budget Hollywood movie.

Then again, perhaps two things can be true at the same time - the Twilight baseball scene is both thunderously cringe and intensely iconic.
