D23: 10 MCU Announcements That Will Break The Internet

9. Making Deadpool 3 Official

Deadpool 3 is something of a unique entity within the walls of the MCU. Obviously, Deadpool 3 will be completely different from anything else in the MCU for a plethora of reasons, but one specific reason makes it stand out right now.

This is that everyone knows the movie is happening, Ryan Reynolds has confirmed as much and writers have even been hired to pen the script, but it is nowhere to be seen on Kevin Feige’s future MCU slate. The movie has yet to be officially announced.

There could be any number of reasons for this, but here’s hoping that whatever they are don’t stand in the way of a huge D23 announcement. Imagine Ryan Reynolds taking the stage in a similar way to Mahershala Ali in Hall H back in 2019, only for long enough to give a few details about the movie.

This may even be why the movie is yet to be announced. This kind of play would arguably detract from just about every other announcement, something that wouldn’t have worked on the same stage as Avengers 5 and 6. In this regard, making Deadpool 3 the main announcement of the D23 presentation rather than Comic Con would be perfect.
