D23: 10 MCU Announcements That Will Break The Internet

7. Announcing Moon Knight's Second Season

Everything, literally everything within the Marvel Cinematic Universe is connected. Each movie and Disney+ series is a smaller piece of a much larger puzzle, though at the moment it is impossible to see where Moon Knight fits in.

The series did include some Easter Eggs that confirmed it was set in a post-Blip MCU, but there was nothing more than that. No cameos, no references outside of a bus ad for the GRC, and a couple of books on Steven’s desk. This was quite refreshing in that it was a completely self-contained story, but where does it fit?

It is completely unlike Marvel Studios to do something like this, there must be a connection yet to come, even in spite of Oscar Isaac suggesting in interviews that there will be no season two. However, if fans have learned anything recently, in particular from Andrew Garfield, it’s to not believe anything any MCU actor says ever.

The show recently won its first Emmy, in the category for Outstanding Sound Editing, which has gotten fans talking about it all over again. When better to announce a second season than with the show being as relevant and mentioned as it was back when it was released?
