D23: 10 MCU Announcements That Will Break The Internet

2. Announcing World War Hulk

As said previously, The Incredible Hulk is one of the very few MCU movies to never receive a sequel. There have historically been rights issues, the character was recast, and Marvel Studios seemed for the longest time to want to forget about the movie entirely.

That cannot be said anymore, however. Thunderbolt Ross returned to the MCU in 2016 with Civil War, the events of the movie were revisited during episode three of What If…?, and She-Hulk has brought back Tim Roth and referenced the movie more so than ever before, even the recasting of Ed Norton.

Could it be that Marvel Studios is finally gearing up for a new Hulk movie? Based on what was seen in episode two of She-Hulk, with Banner once again leaving Earth though this time on a Sakaarian ship, there is one story in particular that could be about to drop.

Even those still holding out hope in 2019 thought the time had passed when Bruce Banner became Smart Hulk in Avengers: Endgame, but the stage has just been set perfectly for a World War Hulk movie. This has been 14 years in the making, and with anticipation at its very peak thanks to She-Hulk, now would be the perfect time to make the announcement.
