Danny Boyle's Films Ranked From Worst To Best

3. Steve Jobs (2015)

Boyle should be commended for making a highly entertaining movie out of subject matter that didn't seem particularly interesting on the surface.

He wasn't alone, though: Aaron Sorkin's electrifying script probably deserves most of the praise, not to mention a blinding performance from Michael Fassbender as the title "character" (even though he looks nothing like Jobs), and superb support from Seth Rogen, Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels.

Boyle's direction here is a little more restrained than usual but no less great, and while many audiences were seemingly put-off by Jobs' unlikability, Boyle, Sorkin and Fassbender at least manage to expose a good deal of the tech icon's humanity.
