Danny Boyle's Films Ranked From Worst To Best
10. Trance (2013)
Trance is admittedly one of the better post-Inception thrillers that's a little too smart for its own good. The problem is that it's ultimately hard to get invested in what's going on when the movie can't stop for more than a few minutes without tying the audience up in knots.
Still, James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel give their level best trying to make sense of all the, well, nonsense, and Boyle's direction is as appropriately cerebral and unhinged as ever.
It's minor Boyle through and through, but an intriguing stab at a clever idea that isn't ever quite as involving as you want it to be.
