Dark Universe: 10 Ways The Monster Mash-Up Can Redeem Itself

Marvel Studios had Joss Whedon and DC has Zack Snyder (for better or for worse) but Dark Universe lacks a guiding hand to steer it in the right creative direction.

Presumably Alex Kurtzman was supposed to take on this role, since he's due to act as producer on all of movies in the pipeline, but considering how The Mummy turned out, a change of perspective may be required.

Bride of Frankenstein's Bill Condon could be the man for the job given his recent box office success with Beauty and the Beast and Twilight: Breaking Dawn, not that we're suggesting these are similar films per se.

Perhaps what Dark Universe needs is a director who knows the horror genre, rather than mainstream blockbusters and action films, which leads us onto our next point...
