8. Aquaman Will Lose A Hand
Aquaman will be swimming solo in 2018, and there might just be blood in the water with horror maestro James Wan at the helm.
The King of Atlantis has lost one of his hands in the comic books on more than one occasion. For some reason, it's a fate that keeps on befalling him.
To many fans, the one-handed Aquaman with a badass harpoon attached to his stump is the definitive version, and DC Extended Universe is a dark enough place for this transformation to happen.
Arthur Curry was originally deprived of his left hand by the villain Charybdis, who fed it to a tank of piranhas in what was a bloody horrible comic book for its time, but other versions of the character had it severed by his arch nemesis Black Manta.
Manta will be the main villain in the upcoming Aquaman solo film, and there's a good chance the hero won't make it through the final battle with all of his extremities intact.
