DC Extended Universe: 10 Post-Justice League Predictions

7. Cyborg Will Be A Surprise Critical Smash

Many are tipping Cyborg's 2020 solo film to be an abject failure, and given how divisive some of the previous DC Extended Universe movies turned out, the fans are right to be concerned about the future of the Justice League's least-known hero.

If done right, however, Cyborg could be the most relevant movie in the DCEU.

Victor Stone is a high schooler who is transformed into a bad Terminator lookalike after an accident his father was partially responsible for destroyed 90% of his body.

Like most people his age, Victor is image conscious and is deeply insecure about his robotic appearance. With a body made up mostly of prosthetics, Cyborg has some major hurdles to overcome.

But overcome them he does, and the hero ends up becoming self-acceptance personified, a role model for anyone who's ever faced diversity.

There was a classic comic book storyline where a gang of children with prosthetic limbs bound over to Cyborg, completely in awe of him and able to relate to his plight.

Victor Stone is a role model, and if the movie can channel this message on screen, he could be an inspiration to many and win plaudits for the DCEU.
