DC Extended Universe: Ranking Every Upcoming Film By Anticipation
1. Justice League 1 & 2
Release Dates: November 17, 2017 & June 14, 2019
This year, the world met their newest incarnation of Batman and witnessed the big screen debut of DC heavy hitters Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. While Batman v Superman had the challenge of covering all that ground, next year's first Justice League film has the colossal duty of actually uniting all of them together.
A decade ago, this wouldn't have seemed possible. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy was just arriving with the unenviable stink of Batman & Robin still lingering on the franchise, and the failure of DC projects both before, like Catwoman, and after, like Superman Returns and Green Lantern, demonstrated that Warner Bros. just didn't seem to know what to do with all the potential at their fingertips.
Fortunately, times have changed, and even if the DCEU has gotten off to a rocky start, we're living in a world where these characters are finally being given a shot. The Justice League films are the realization of decades of desire from fans to see the characters they've loved in comics, animation, and so on finally come together in live-action, and to that end, hopefully everyone involved in the DCEU has taken to heart the criticism that BvS and Suicide Squad received and let it fuel their passion to ensure that such a monumental cinematic moment for DC does right by fans.
