DCEU: 10 Mistakes Warner Bros. Has Made With Its DC Slate

8. Unnecessary Spinoffs

Aquaman massively exceeded expectations at the box office, as did Wonder Woman. In fact, they're two of only a handful of recent DC movies which have been well-received by fans and critics alike, and Warner Bros. has taken note of that...in completely the wrong way.

Rather than just doing everything they can to ensure the planned sequels are as great as possible (we'll have more on that a little later), they've decided to launch spinoffs no one asked for or really wants.

The first is The Trench, an Aquaman spinoff revolving around the monsters who Arthur Curry and Mera battled on the high seas in a memorable sequence. The second, meanwhile, is untitled, but set on Themyscira and revolving around the Amazons. Both have the potential to be good fun, but do we need them? The obvious answer is "no," and they're two strange projects to pour money into.

There are so many great DC heroes and villains we haven't seen on screen up until this point, and they're being overlooked for sea monsters and less interesting versions of Wonder Woman.
