DCEU: 10 R-Rated Movies DC Needs To Make
5. Suicide Squad 2
As sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, Suicide Squad 2 is definitely happening, after the first movie made a huge $745.6 million worldwide despite predominantly negative reviews.
There are a dozen different issues with the first film, but ditching the PG-13 rating and going full R for the sequel would alleviate at least a few of them right out of the gate.
The original wanted to be gritty and boundary-pushing, but due to its child-friendly rating ultimately still felt rather tame and tepid, appealing primarily to teenagers rather than adults.
Considering how the acting ensemble works just fine, allowing them to swear and brutally slaughter their enemies would make the group so much more convincing and enjoyable to watch.
How Likely Is It?: Not a chance, sadly. It would mean Warner Bros. taking a gigantic box office hit due to losing the in-built teenage audience from the original (who largely loved the film, it seems). When literally hundreds of millions would be lost in the process, pleasing fans isn't really a top priority. 1/10
