Chances Of It Happening: 7/10

In early 2017, Joss Whedon (The Avengers) was hired to write, direct and produce a solo Batgirl movie, and later that year, it was reported that Whedon would begin production on the film in 2018 (and an actress shortlist popped up too).

But then the tepid response to Justice League (which Whedon unofficially co-directed), put the Batgirl project into question - there were rumours that Whedon had been removed from the project, and other rumours stating that he was still attached, none of which have been confirmed or denied by Warner Bros or Whedon.

So all we can assume is that he's still working on the script (which was the last official report we heard on the matter) and that Batgirl is still chugging along.

After DC's success with the female-centric Wonder Woman it wouldn't be a surprise to see Batgirl happen within the next few years, but the lack of any real news or buzz about the project (besides Lindsay Lohan campaigning for the title role) is worrying.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
