6. It's Not Happening In The Batman

There were initially rumours that the Red Hood story would be adapted for Ben Affleck's The Batman in 2018 (or whenever it actually makes it to screens) but the emergence of Joe Mangianello's Deathstroke screen-test seemed to suggest a completely different direction. There'd surely not be room to have two brutal masked killers on the loose in Gotham at the same time?

The very fact that The Batman isn't focusing on the story is surely evidence that they have grander plans elsewhere for the culmination of the whole dead Robin sub-plot. It could have worked in Suicide Squad, or its sequel (or at least a first appearance by Red Hood could have), but it's the kind of story that requires its own feature, and the fact it's not coming in The Batman either says it's coming elsewhere or not at all.

But, it's not like they'd just leave a trail of hints cold in a dead end, is it?
