DCEU: 7 Hints That Batman: Under The Red Hood Movie Is Coming
5. Harley's Involvement
Six little words and the origin of Red Hood is changed completely. In the comics, his scheme was revealed to be a means of drawing out the Joker, to gain vengeance for his death leading to Batman's discovery that Jason Todd is actually still alive. The only reason Harley Quinn would be drawn into his murder - if not just for a cheap pop - is if it's going to come back to haunt her in a very real way.
If this version of Red Hood wants revenge, he's going to want it not only on the Joker but also on his accomplice, and David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens would be the perfect opportunity to explore that.
The decision to implicate Harley has to lead to something: or it's a wasted hint. It wasn't necessary to make it clear she was mad, or that Batman would hate her, so the detail has to have been included to tease Todd's return and vengeance on his "killers".
