DCEU: Ranking Every Big Fight Scene From Worst To Best

6. Superman Vs. The Justice League - Justice League (2017)

The first live-action theatrical depiction of DC's premier team was a mishmash of a movie and a massive letdown, especially given its expected status as DC's answer to The Avengers.

Between Zack Snyder's unfortunate exit from the movie during post-production, Joss Whedon's clumsily handled takeover and Warner Bros. executive meddling, the movie never stood a chance to be anything other than a mediocre and rushed product.

Its action scenes were a victim of the studio interference; they were generic hero vs cannon fodder type glazed in unfinished CGI and mostly uninspired choreography. However, in this 120-minute slog stood one set-piece that towered over the rest: the newly formed Justice League's efforts to restrain a resurrected Superman.

This was easily the most entertaining scene in the movie and was a showcase of how inventive these films can be. The standout part was the brief super-speed tussle between Superman and the Flash, with the former showing he's easily capable of matching the latter's incredible speed.

Despite undercutting the importance of the remaining League members, this setpiece was a thrilling yet sad reminder of what could have been if Warner Bros. committed to Snyder's original vision.
