DCEU: Ranking The Batgirl Actress Shortlist From Worst To Best

4. Katherine Langford

13 Reasons Why Hannah
Netflix

Known For: 13 Reasons Why.

In terms of feature-films, Langford is the least-experienced actress on this list, with not a single film of hers having yet been released (she has two on the horizon, but we obviously can't gauge her performances in those yet).

Her biggest claim to fame is 13 Reasons Why - the Netflix-exclusive TV series that debuted earlier this year - for which she garnered widespread acclaim. Her dark, tortured performance must not have been an easy one to pull off, but she did so successfully, and, if this leak is to be believed, she is currently the frontrunner to play Batgirl.

Still, it really is hard to imagine her jumping straight into the DCEU with so little experience. A Netflix TV show is a breeze compared to the skill level required to lead a blockbuster, and it remains to be seen if Langford is capable enough.

Chances Of Her Being Cast: If we put aside the fact that this leak states she is the frontrunner and look purely at the tangible evidence, then Langford has a good shot at landing the role.

Not only is she an unknown, but she's the best kind of unknown - one with an immensely successful project under her belt. Warner Bros will not ignore the fact that 13 Reasons Why was a hit (and garnered a huge fanbase) making Langford a hot property. 7/10

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
