DCEU: Ranking The Batgirl Actress Shortlist From Worst To Best

3. Margaret Qualley

Margaret Qualley The Nice Guys
Warner Bros.

Known For: The Nice Guys, The Leftovers.

If Margaret Qualley's performance in The Nice Guys is viewed as her audition for Batgirl, then she'd be a fantastic choice for the part.

Confident, strong-willed and physically capable, her character was a rebellious twenty-something who defied her vindictive mother, a high-ranking official within the U.S. Department Of Justice.

Her tough attitude would make her a great fit for Batgirl, and she's in the perfect shape to be able to cope with the physical strain of playing a superhero.

Chances Of Her Being Cast: Now that The Leftovers has finished, Qualley has a sizable opening in her schedule, and with roles in Death Note, Io and Strange But True in the can, she's perfectly positioned to become the next big breakout star.

And, with The Nice Guys, she worked closely with studio Warner Bros. Her foot is firmly in the door, and we wouldn't be surprised if she nabbed the role. 8/10

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
