For fans of Taika Waititi Hunt for the Wilderpeople, the appearance of one Juilian Dennison in Deadpool 2 was likely was a key draw. He was fantastic in that first film, and while the actor's role is still undisclosed - even this close to release - his few brief appearances in the film's trailers still teased a prominent role for the kid jeopardised by Cable's time-travelling shenanigans.
That said, while most of the reactions to the film have been glowing, Barry Hertz of The Globe and Mail wasn't as enthusiastic, citing the misuse of Dennison as a primary flaw before bemoaning the film's ostensible plagiarism of Macgruber (a movie everyone definitely saw).
One would hope that Deadpool 2 isn't lacking in originality, and that Dennison is given the screen-time he deserves, but at least reactions (so far) have been mostly positive.
